Raymond Salemme, PhD

Ray brings more than 30 years of broad biotechnology and entrepreneurial expertise to BioLeap. Dr. Salemme is currently the CEO of Redpoint Bio. Previously Dr. Salemme was the founder, President and Chief Scientific Officer of 3-Dimensional Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (3DP), a publicly traded biotechnology company founded in 1993, and acquired by Johnson & Johnson in 2003. Dr. Salemme received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Greater Philadelphia in 1998 for his role in building 3DP.

Mark Ostro, PhD

Mark has considerable experience as a researcher, entrepreneur, company executive, Wall Street analyst and financial advisor. He founded the Liposome Company and assisted John Kulp with the commercialization of an earlier version of CFBD. Mark is currently Managing Partner, Devon Park Bioventures.

Andrew Powell ESQ.

Andrew's most recent position was as Senior Vice President and General Counsel for ImClone systems.  Prior to joining ImClone, Andrew had over 20 years of legal experience, including 19 years in the healthcare industry. At CollaGenex Pharmaceuticals Andrew served as Vice President and General Counsel and at Baxter International, he held various leadership positions in the company's bioscience, international and European businesses. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Stanford Law School.

Timothy Block, PhD

Tim is the Co-Founder and volunteer President of the Hepatitis B Foundation and its research affiliate the Institute for Hepatitis and Virus Research. Dr. Block is a Professor of Microbiology and Immunology, Drexel University College of Medicine, and Director of the Drexel Institute for Biotechnology and Virology Research. Dr. Block received his Ph.D. from SUNY and completed his post-doctoral training at Princeton University. He later studied at the University of Oxford, Sabbatical Fellow.

S. Russell Craig, MBA, Adviser:

Russ has over 25 years of strategic consulting, line management and entrepreneurial experience.  Russ started his consulting career at McKinsey and Co, where he dealt with high technology and industry clients. His experience includes Vice President and Director of the Electronics Practice at Arthur D. Little and Partner in Strategic Services at Accenture. Additionally, Russ has functioned as a line manager in various high technology companies. He ran a division of Teradyne, was Vice President of Strategy and Marketing at Genrad where he oversaw the acquisition and integration of three technology companies, ran the consulting services activity at DEC for a period, and was COO and Cofounder of a software startup, Simpli .com. Russ is currently Managing Director, Vericours, Inc., Corporate Development Consulting.
